UPDATE: Person of interest found after attempted robbery at Monona bank

Monona Police say a person of interest has been found and charges are pending after an attempted robbery at a bank. Officers are still looking for a vehicle believed to be involved in the case.

Someone tried to rob the Chase Bank on 802 W. Broadway Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they found the person of interest based on tips from the public.

Officers believe the vehicle they are still looking for was being used by an accomplice in the incident.

It is an older, dark blue-colored Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon with a visor above the windshield. It also has plastic taped-over a broken front passenger window.

Monona police are searching for the suspect in a bank hold up. Around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon, the Chase Bank on West Broadway was robbed. No injuries were reported. The suspect was seen at a couple of other banks in the Broadway area around the same time. He's believed to be driving a dark s-u-v with the front passenger window taped up.
