Teen allegedly pulls BB gun on Madison roller rink manager

Madison Police say a 13-year-old boy pulled a BB gun on a roller skate rink manager Friday night.

Officers say the 29-year-old manager had just kicked the suspect out of the Fast Forward Skate Center at 4649 Verona Rd. for breaking the rink rules. The teen reportedly was hanging out in a designated skate area without skates on.

The teen continued to loiter on rink property. The manager went outside to encourage the suspect to move along. That is when the gun was allegedly pulled.

The boy reportedly threatened the manager, who ran back inside.

Police recovered the weapon outside. While it turned out to be a BB gun, officers say it looked very much like a real handgun.

The teen was arrested, and reportedly told police he wanted to “scare” the rink manager.
