Tech plan at Madison schools moves forward

A nearly $28 million technology plan, that will equip Madison students with their own tablet or notebook computers, has been approved by the school board.

The vote by the Madison School Board Monday night was 6-1, with T-J Mertz against the proposal. Mertz cites cost as a concern.

The technology plan involves all students in 2nd through 12th grade and is set to be in place by the 2018-19 school year.
