Pit Bull ordinance up for a vote in Madison

The Madison City Council tonight will take up an ordinance tonight that would require pit bulls be spayed or neutered after 5 months old. Supporters say overpopulation of pit bulls put stress on the city's animal services officers and the Dane County Humane Society. However, Dane County's Humane Society is against the proposal, fearing that more of the dogs will be dumped at animal shelters.
