Meriter Hospital's Final Offer to Nurses Rejected

The latest and so-called final offer from Meriter hospital to its nurses has been rejected. The new contract would have included salary increases, but also a reduction in disability pay, and a mandate for nurses to float between as many as three departments. The union represents about 720 nurses and plans to meet to decide what to do next. The union has made no counteroffer.
