Madison mom charged in wandering toddler case

12/24/2013 UPDATE:

A Madison mother, who admitedly tied her son to a bed while she ran errands, has now been charged in Dane County Court. 22 year old Katrena Salmon was in court Monday on a misdemeanor count of child neglect.

During the afternoon of Dec. 17, a snowplow driver found the 2 1/2 year old boy wandering around outside on Sunfish Court, wearing just a tshirt and a diaper that was too small.

Salmon told police she has tied up her son in the past, because "he gets into everything." But she says she does allow the toddler enough slack so he can reach the t.v.
