MILWAUKEE (AP) _ Governor Scott Walker is praising fellow Wisconsin Republican Paul Ryan for the congressman's role in broking a bipartisan budget bill that's been blasted a by number of conservatives.
Walker said on NBC's ``Meet the Press'' that Ryan provided strong leadership on the bill that passed the House Thursday and awaits Senate action.
The governor also said retaking Republican control of the Senate in 2014 will be the key to getting budgets that more conservatives can embrace.
In a separate appearance on ``Meet the Press,'' Ryan said nobody gets everything they want in a divided government.
Ryan appeared along with Senator Patty Murray, a Washington Democrat, the other chief architect of the deal. He said they wanted to find a way to make divided government work, at least at a basic functioning level.
