Gov Walker kicks off re-election campaign

DANE, Wis. (AP) _ Gov. Scott Walker says he deserves a second term because he turned Wisconsin around by cutting taxes, making sure everyone in poverty has access to health insurance and improved the economy leading to the creation of 100,000 new jobs. Walker is making his re-election pitch at a series of rallies across the state on Tuesday. About 200 people attended the first one, at a manufacturing company in Dane, located outside of Madison. Walker is also touting a tuition freeze at the University of Wisconsin that he proposed last year and is now calling to be extended another two years. Walker says, ``Wisconsin is back. Wisconsin is on the right track again.'' He faces Democrat Mary Burke in the Nov. 4 election.
