Columbia Co. Deputies have identified a Pardeeville couple killed in a Thursday afternoon crash in the Town of Wyocena.
84-year-old Eldon Glick wad declared dead at the scene. His wife, 84-year-old Le Veta Glick, died at the hospital.
The crash happened around 2:49 p.m. at the intersection of Highway P and Pardeeville Rd
On November 07, 2013, at 2:49 pm, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH P and Pardeeville Road in the Town of Wyocena. This intersection is approximately one mile east of the Village of Pardeeville, WI.
The preliminary investigation of the scene indicates that a 2005 GMC Canyon pick-up truck was attempting to make a left hand turn from Pardeeville Road onto CTH P to travel westbound when the GMC pick-up proceeded into the path of a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country mini-van that was traveling east on CTH P.
The operator of the 2005 GMC truck, an 84 year old male from Pardeeville, WI was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Columbia County Medical Examiner. The name is being withheld pending notification to family. An 84 year old female passenger and wife of the operator was transported from the scene by Medflight to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI.
The operator and only occupant of the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country mini-van, a 38 year old female from Friesland, WI sustained non life threatening injuries and was transported from the scene by Divine Savior EMS to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI.
All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in this crash.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Pardeeville Fire Department, Pardeeville EMS, Divine Savior EMS, Medflight, Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office, Columbia County Highway Department and Blystone’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia County Medical Examiner.
