09/18/2013 UPDATE: The motorcyclist injured in the September 13th crash on CTH ID in the town of Blue Mounds is being identified as Kimberly S. Clark, age 31 of Mt. Horeb. Ms. Clark remains hospitalized with serious injuries, but she is expected to recover.
Citations and/or charges against the at-fault driver, Travis J. Fritch, age 20 of Ridgeway, are pending.
On Friday, September 13, 2013, at approximately 5:22pm, Dane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies along with Blue Mounds Police, Mount Horeb Fire Department and Mount Horeb EMS, responded to CTH ID at STH 78 in the Town of Blue Mounds for a two vehicle injury crash.
The preliminary investigation indicates a 2002 Saturn Vue was traveling westbound on CTH ID and attempted to turn southbound onto STH 78 directly in front of a 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on CTH ID, causing a collision. The driver of the Harley-Davidson sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Med-Flight. The driver of the Saturn did not sustain any injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
