3 Republican candidates all support term limits

MADISON, Wis. (AP) _ All three Republicans running for Congress in Wisconsin's 6th District say they will self-impose term limits if elected.

State Rep. Duey Stroebel, of Saukville, released a column on Monday morning stating his support in general for term limits for members of Congress. State Sen. Glenn Grothman, of West Bend, issued a statement in response saying if elected he would serve no more than 10 years.

Stroebel then said he has no intentions of serving more than 10 years if elected.

A third Republican running for the seat, state Sen. Joe Leibham, of Sheboygan, says he would serve no more than 12 years if elected.

All three are running for the seat being vacated by Rep. Tom Petri, who is retiring after serving 35 years in Congress.
